Meet Head Chef Joshua Hall

Joshua joined Herriots Hotel in April 2026 as Sous Chef, bringing with him around 15 years of experience working across restaurants, hotels and busy professional kitchens.

Having worked his way through the industry from apprentice chef to Chef de Partie and Sous Chef, Joshua has developed a broad style of cooking and a real appreciation for fresh ingredients, seasonal produce and well-presented, flavour-led food.

His experience goes beyond restaurant service, having also worked across weddings, functions and large events — an important part of life at Herriots, where the kitchen can move from an intimate dinner service to catering for a wedding or large celebration. Since joining us in April, Joshua has quickly become a valued part of the team and has now stepped up to take the position of Head Chef, leading our kitchen and working closely with the wider Herriots and Rhubarb team.

For Joshua, a successful kitchen is very much about teamwork. His focus is on creating a positive kitchen environment where the team can develop together, while delivering consistently good food for our guests — whether they're joining us for lunch, dinner, Sunday roast or celebrating one of life's big occasions with us.
